Temporary Personnel

For seasonal or peak periods, special projects, or in response to unexpected changes in your work force, CRG has an extensive supply of professional temporary personnel. We specialize in placing accounting, finance and office administration candidates.

One of the greatest needs for temporary personnel is in accounting "busy season". For many clients, it is during this time of closing year-end books, meeting all of the year-end reporting requirements, preparing tax returns, and finishing various special projects when the use of our temporaries allows the increased workload to be met.

Direct-Hire Placement

Performing candidate searches, reviewing resumes, interviewing and screening selected individuals, and ultimately employing the best candidate are direct-hire tasks that most of our client contacts don't have the time to properly complete. By utilizing our experience and expertise in these areas, clients can continue to do what they do best.

CRG can provide candidates for open personnel positions in the areas of accounting, finance and office administration. CRG's very competitive fee for direct-hire placements is 25% of first year compensation. See the CRG Guarantee.

Temp-to-Hire Personnel

Using temp-to-hire personnel is an increasingly popular method of finding employees for clients. Under this scenario, a candidate is evaluated over a temporary period (e.g. 90 days) as an employee of CRG, prior to becoming a permanent employee of the client company.

The trial evaluation period provided by the temp-to-hire scenario has proven beneficial for our clients and candidates alike. The temp-to-hire method differs from payroll servicing primarily in that the temp-to-hire candidate is sourced, screened and placed by CRG.

Payroll Servicing

This is a service offered by CRG in which we serve as the employer-of-record for individuals who will be performing short or long-term responsibilities for a client company.

There are three primary situations in which a company may need payroll servicing:

  • Given the short-term, seasonal or special nature of the work requirements that may arise, it may be premature for a company to place given personnel on its permanent payroll;
  • Companies may want to use this service prior to hiring a candidate directly; and,
  • In cases where a company has historically improperly classified seasonal workers as independent contractors (see Do You 1099?), payroll servicing is a viable alternative.

With payroll servicing, the individuals are found, interviewed, and screened by the client company; however, they become employees of CRG for the payroll service period.

Other Outsourcing

CRG also provides other outsourcing services such as candidate screening, resume review and preparation, and reference checks.

CRG Guarantee

Colvin Resources Group provides the CRG Guarantee for all temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire candidates that we place.

For temporary employees there is an 8-hour guarantee. Should a client be dissatisfied with the performance of a temporary employee, the employee may be released in the first eight hours of employment at no cost to the client company.

In the case of direct-hire placements, we have a 90-day guarantee that is as follows: all direct-hire placements are billed immediately, and invoices are due upon receipt. If the candidate leaves voluntarily or is discharged for any reason within 90 days from his/her start date, the client is refunded fees as follows:

For CRG temp-to-hire candidates, the CRG guarantee has two components that are guaranteed as follows: the direct-hire component is guaranteed as described above, and the payroll cost component is guaranteed as described in the temporary employee guarantee above.
